There are several options. The first one is to have an alternative venue. You can get married indoor, but that is just not romantic enough. That's where the marquees come in. There are also several indoor venues available in Hamilton gardens and around Waikato River such as the boat house. Skycity Casino may also provide good shelter to your slightly damp day, but don't despair, the rain cools down the heat of the day and the sun comes out after the rain clouds clear. The second one is to put heel stoppers on your shoes and brave it. Umbrellas are not so expensive, it may not even be raining when the ceremony starts. When the sun is out, you may still get a bit of a wet grass underneath so heel stoppers can help your shoes from sinking into the ground.
